Get Digital

Prism will transfer your video and audio tapes to MPEG-1 format which is then copied to CD-ROM. Tapes can be transferred in entirety, or in selective segments.

The CD can be then played back on any personal computer through Microsoft® ActiveMovie or Microsoft® Media Player software. Typically, in trial settings, a trial presentation software package such as Verdict System's Sanction® or inData's TrialDirector™ is used.

Once created, the CD can be used alone for presentation during a court or legal proceeding or attached to substantive motions or appellant pleadings for filing with the court. The judge is able to view selective supporting evidence directly from his/her personal computer.

Video to Text Synchronization

The digitized video file can be synchronized to the deposition transcript received from the court reporter. A synchronized transcript can be searched to locate and play the corresponding video excerpt directly from CD-ROM or hard drive.

Transcript searching can be performed from within Summation®, Verdict System's Sanction® or through inData's DepoDirector™.

In addition, Sanction® and DepoDirector™ offer the ability to create video clips "on-the-fly" for impeachment purposes, designations and/or counter-designations.

A video clip can contain a single excerpt or multiple segments of non-contiguous testimony. Trial presentation software is used to play the video clips in presentation mode. Video clips can include the video along with the synchronized transcript, or the video only.
